Descriptions:
This is an exquisite hand-carved wooden 3D wall panel. This wall panel depicts the everlasting true love portrait of Lord Rama & Dewi Sita. It's carved from the wonderful suar wood for its attractive properties. The suar wood used here has a rich and deep beautiful color to complement this exceptionally realistic portrait. This is one of the most spectacular 3-D wood carvings we offer. With delicate hands, the artist painstakingly carved this wall panel to a depth of 2". This form of layering carving method is extremely difficult to master and therefore, only practiced by the most seasoned artisans. The benefit of this form of wood carving is that it yields depth of the art work and visually a lot more appealing. Finally, the center storyboard is framed by beautiful floral wood panel to form a magnificent wall panel.
Lord Rama & Dewi Sita, are the embodiment of TRUE LOVE and SACRIFICE. Lord Rama and Dewi Sita play a major role in the story of Ramayana that has been told for many centuries, written by sage Valmiki. In Hinduism, Lord Rama is regarded as the seventh avatar of God, Vishnu and worshipped together with his wife Sita and devotee Hanuman, the monkey god. Lord Rama is the son of King Dasaratha and his queen Kausalya, making him a Prince of Ayodhya. At the instigation of Kaikeyi, another of his father's wives, he is banished to a forest. While in exile, his wife, Sita, is kidnapped by Ravana, King of the Rakshasas in Lanka. Lord Rama, along with Hanuman, killed Ravana and rescued his wife Sita. The occasion of his victory over Ravana is celebrated every year by Hindus at Dassera (Vijaya Dashami, the day he won the battle according to the Hindu calendar). On Dassera, effigies of Ravana are burnt to commemorate the victory of good over evil. The burning of Ravana effigies symbolically represents burning the Ravana (the evil) within us. It also signifies the victory of dharma over adharma. Rama also killed Vali, the King of Kishkinda. He rescued Ahalya, wife of great sage Gautama, after she was cursed by her husband for having an affair with Indra. Lord Rama is seen as an ideal of Dharma and noble virtues. His wife, Sita, an incarnation of the Goddess Lakshmi - consort of Shri Vishnu, exemplifies the ideal wife.
This wall panels looks great as a wall hanging or wall decor. This oversized panel would be the center piece in any rooms it may reside in. You will love the quality of the carvings as well as the remarkably shiny smooth polished and dark stains to reduce chances of cracking. The beautiful fine grain are also clearly visible through the stains to further accentuate this spectacular masterpiece.
