This is a one of the most beautiful collectible hand-carved wooden statue we offer. This sculpture depicts a meditating Buddha, with his right hand in a meditating/chanting position while his left hand resting on his feet. He sits on a large beautiful lotus blossom. This masterpiece is carved entirely from highly prized sono wood and come in 2 separate piece. The first piece is Buddha statue and the second piece is the large lotus blossom. The buddha statue fits perfectly in the lotus blossom that will be hard to tell that they are actually made out of 2 pieces! In addition, Sono wood is used for it's high density and naturally dark color. Hence, it allows the carver to yield such fine detail for this spectacular statue. Despite the smaller size, it's heavy compared to other wood (ie Albesia, Suar, etc)
