This is one of the more unique hand-carved wooden Buddha statue. It's carved to from a natural block of crocodile wood to depict a meditating Buddha. Crocodile wood is a dense wood and naturally wide. It's a tough and heavy wood yet very attractive because of the white wood with distinct grain structure.
In this special sculpture, Lord Buddha emerged from within a block of natural crocodile wood measuring about 8" in diameter with height of about 8". Buddha medidates with both hands in an open palm formation resting comfortably on his lap.
Buddha's facial expression says it all - calmingly gentle, peaceful and tranquil. It's believed that by placing a Buddha artifact will bring you luck and peace to your space and life.
