A proud eagle stands gazing to the world around, almost screaming to the world of its power and presence. The sculpture clearly captures the artist's respect for such a fine animal. This masterpiece is carved entirely from a single block of wood to maintain the sculpture's integrity and quality. Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large powerful hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong legs and powerful talons. They also have extremely keen eyesight to enable them to spot potential prey from afar. This keen eyesight is primarily contributed by their extremely large pupils which cause minimal spreading of the incoming light.
