Legong dance is a traditional palace dance that features the prettiest young girls. The dancers used to be hand picked by the local prince while they were young to undergo intense training. Legong dance is focused on striking costumes and an array of eye, shoulder, hand, head, hip, and foot movements to amaze the audience. Legong dancers usually carry magnificent costumes embroided with gold, and headdresses decorated with flowers
